The idea for Rack and Smith Co started during the pandemic in 2020.

At the time, gyms closed overnight and people everywhere were forced to figure out how to train at home.

There was no clear guidance on how to build a proper home gym. No consistency in quality. No trusted place to start.

I built my first home gym that year with limited space and limited options. Over time, that setup grew.

Today, it fills my entire two car garage and supports serious strength training across every major lift.

The photo below shows my very first home gym setup in 2020.

It wasn’t perfect, but it worked — and it taught me exactly what matters when building a space to train with intent.

Rack and Smith Co was created from that experience.
